Naomi Nelson

MS Student in Community and Regional Planning;
Urban Information Lab

Naomi Nelson is a Masters Student in the Community and Regional Planning program at the University of Texas at Austin concentrating on transportation planning. Her current research is focused on transportation technology and equity. She has a BA in Geography from Syracuse University where she concentrated on urban geography and food access, or food deserts. Naomi’s research involved developing methods to provide affordable housing and financial coaching to minority communities, and she has previously worked as a tech analyst for Apple and Google working with GIS mapping and Machine Learning respectively.
